Do I need a building permit?
Answer:

City Code requires permits for most home remodeling projects, roofing, sheds, fences, plumbing and electrical work. Professional contractors are also required to be registered with the City. Please call the Building Division at (407) 262-7700, ext. 1103 prior to embarking on any home improvement project to see if your project will require a permit and if you are choosing a properly licensed contractor.
