When is a permit not necessary?
Answer:

Please contact the Building Division at 407-262-7700, extension 1103, if you should have any questions as to whether a permit is required. Exempt items generally include:
  • General maintenance and repairs not exceeding $500 in labor and materials.
  • Installation of a thermostat.
  • Installation of kitchen cabinets, vanities or paneling inside residential units.
  • Installation of flooring or window treatments.
  • Duct cleaning.
